Worry Doll is a graphic novel by Matt Coyle and published by Mam Tor. Worry doll is an inspired piece of gothic noir disguised as a children’s book. It concerns a suitcase full of dolls who stumble across the murdered corpses of their host family in the living room, leading them to flee the crime scene and embark on the most nightmarish road trip in popular culture today.

Matt Coyle was born in 1971 and grew up in Canberra, Australia. After studying painting for two years at Sydney College of the Arts, he moved back to Canberra and commenced drawing his first graphic novel, Registry of Death, which was written by Peter Lamb. Registry of Death was published in 1996 by Kitchen Sink Press. Matt spent the next few years drawing the graphic novel The Trespasser (incomplete) before starting work on Worry Doll. Worry Doll was published in February 2007 by Mam Tor Publishing and at the time of its release an exhibition of limited edition prints from Worry Doll was held at the Damien Minton Gallery in Redfern, Sydney.

The bookdesign has been taken care off by the talented Belgian Graphic Designer and Image Maker Tom Muller who has put up an interesting in-depth look at the design process of this project.
